What's new in LinkDigest, October 2026
The short version: LinkDigest now searches before it reads, every Xiaohongshu note comes back with its top comments, a consumer insight can be drawn from any post, many links become one comparison page, and a browser extension reads what a server cannot. Everything below is live today, on the console, the REST API, the MCP server, the Feishu table field, the Dify plugin and the Apify actor.
Search in front of read
An agent used to need a link someone had already found. Now it can start from a topic.
- Xiaohongshu, YouTube, X and the web:
search_links(andPOST /api/v1/search) finds posts on a topic for free. Adddigest: trueand the results are read as one batch with a comparison page, in the same call. On Xiaohongshu this is the notes the web has indexed, each read from its public page: no login, no session, no signature. - Your own feed, and Douyin: LinkDigest never holds your session. Open the page in your own browser, press the extension's button, choose how many notes to read; the agent picks the batch up with
list_batches.

Top comments on every Xiaohongshu note
Each note now returns the first comments from its share page, with likes, replies and dates: read from the same page as the note, no extra requests, no login, no paging. The coverage receipt says how many were read. What Xiaohongshu returns
Consumer insight, with proof
Ask for insight: true on any post and get six sections: who it speaks to, the claims it makes, the objections and pain points, who is asking where to buy, the products and prices named, the questions readers ask. Every item carries a quote, and the engine marks whether that quote was found word for word in the note or its comments. A section the material does not support says found: false instead of inventing one. One extra credit a post; a repeat on the same link is free.
Many links, one page
Send a batch with synthesis: true, or call compare_links, and the notes come back as one comparison: shared themes, hooks, formats, claims, objections and gaps, every example naming which note it came from and checked against it. One credit per ten notes, charged once per batch. Batches can carry a label, and GET /api/v1/digest/batches lists your recent ones. Batches in the console
The browser extension
Douyin has refused every automated read since 2026-10-09. The extension records what your own tab plays, like a screen recorder, and reads that: transcript, on-screen text, key points. Its second button, on a Xiaohongshu search page, counts the notes you can see and reads as many of them as you choose into one batch with comments, insight and a comparison. Get the extension
Studio plan and volume pack
A Studio plan sits above Dev for teams reading in volume, and a credit pack can be bought once with Alipay or UnionPay. Pricing
